It sounds as though you may have inadvertently triggered the
"Time-scale" behavior in the X axis. Go to Chart.. Chart Options.. Axes,
and select "Category" for the X axis instead of "Automatic", and see if
that helps.

Thanks for your help. Actually, since I had 7 series six months
apart,covering 67 months, the lines had to be skinny to fit in each month. I
changed my values from dates to odd numbers 1 through 23, made the axis
invisible and put in a text box with the dates.

Hi,
Sounds like your x axis is being treated as Dates rather than categories.
Right click chart and pick chart options. On the Axes tab check Xaxis
Category type.
