I created a column chart with 7 data series, and the data columns are very
thin, so you can't tell one series from another.  I tried using overlap and
gap to increase the width of the columns, but that is not working.  Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds as though you may have inadvertently triggered the
"Time-scale" behavior in the X axis. Go to Chart.. Chart Options.. Axes,
and select "Category" for the X axis instead of "Automatic", and see if
that helps.

Thanks for your help.  Actually, since I had 7 series six months
apart, covering 67 months, the lines had to be skinny to fit in each month.  I
changed my values from dates to odd numbers 1 through 23, made the axis
invisible and put in a text box with the dates.

Hi,

Sounds like your x axis is being treated as Dates rather than categories.
Right click chart and pick chart options. On the Axes tab check Xaxis
Category type.

Cheers
