Trying to graphically prove whether my son is worthy of a car.
I have a spreadsheet with this header row:
Date    Time Promise    Actual time    Commitment    Actual Commitment    Task/Help    Actual
Task/Help    Plus/Minus

I plan to manually enter the "Plus/Minus" on a 1-10 scale with 5 being
expected, the norm. So I want the chart/graph to populate the results of that
"Plus/Minus" with the Date on the left (x-axis?) and the results on the
bottom (y-axis?).  I tried doing it but it is a mess.

Thanks in advance for your help!

What are you wanting help with, the calculation of the plus/minus, or
graphing that data (although the latter look trivial at first sight)? and
how many columns are there, it is difficult to work out?

The only chart that will work by default with the dates on the vertical axis
is the Bar chart (it has horizontal bars).

You may want to consider putting the dates on the horizontal (x-axis).  Now,
you can use just about any kind of chart (Column, Area, Line, or XY
Scatter).

To keep the dates on the vertical axis, you could *try* to plot the +/-
values as the x-values and the dates as the y-values.  Though, I suspect
that most of the charts will still look strange.
