I don't think so, but you can achieve much the same effect by hiding th
series you don't want in the chart (eg set line colour to none in
line chart, line and fill to none in a column chart) and deleting th
reference to the series from the legend.

Add the series to the chart.
Select the series you want to hide, and choose the
Line Chart type from the Chart toolbar.
Choose Format>Selected Data Series, and set the Line and Marker to None.
To remove the series from the legend, click on the legend to select it.
Click on the series label in the legend, and press Delete.
