I have 30 pairs of numbers that represent estimates from
two sources for 30 counties. I would like to label each
point on the scatter chart with the county name.  My file
looks like:

county A  est 1    est 2
county B  est 1    est 3
and so on

I've tried creating each pair of numbers as a data series,
but then I can't produce a trend line (which I need to do).
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.  Thank You!

You can use Rob Bovey's XY Chart Labeler to add the labels. It's a free
add-in that you can download from his web site:
