I was working with customizing some menu bars ad I must
have accidentally deleted the file command bar from the
excel application.  I have reinstalled / repaired and this
has not helped.  Is there a way to fix this other than re-
installing office?

Paul,

I am guessing, but try these two suggestions:

1) View | Toolbars | Customize | Reset

If that doesn't work...

2) Find a file on your computer *.xlb.  The xlb file is your toolbar setting
file.  I would make a back up (say Excel.xlb to Excel.bac) and then delete
the xlb file (or, alternatively, just rename the xlb to bac). Excel will
create a new xlb file when it is opened.

I hope that one of the two suggestions work.

Regards,
Kevin
