MS Office Forum / Excel / Excel Errors / January 2004I type in a date and it changes
I have office xp pro, with sp1. If I am entering a date into any date formatted cell by typing the date as 010604, excel will return a date other that jan 06,2004. Any help here.... RG A 'format' in excel is not like a 'input mask' in Access. By this I mean you have to enter the slashes for excel to recognise it as a date. If you do this it will be automatically recognised. The date you will get will be 11th January 1929.
