Excel 2000 Locks UP

When starting Excel the program locks up with
Excel caused a general protection fault in module user.exe
at 0003:00003d32

Running Window 98 ver 2
RAM is 128mb
PIII at 733 Mhz

Have uninstalled and reinstalled with same error each time.

Possibly an HP Pavilion? Can sometimes be the video.  Turn
off the video acceleration and try to dupe the error (set
it to none).

Actually I've the same error. But my pc has no video
acceleration.... has any other idea? thanks
