I have a computer lab that crashed whenever you click on
anything on the toolbar. For example, you hit the bold
icon and it will lock up with the hour glass. I have all
the updates installed for Office 2003, any suggestions?

Hi Jeff,

Try the following:

1.) Completely empty your temp directory

Delete all the files in your temp directory, but make sure that you have
completed any pending software installations first (you may need to reboot
your PC). If you are not sure where your temp directory is you can access it
using Start-->Run-->%temp%-->OK. Temporary files may accumulate in your
\Windows\Temp directory (Win95/98/ME), or your \Documents and
Settings\<user>\local settings\temp directory (Win2K/WinXP). Too many
temporary files can cause problems, so clean them out from time to time.

2.) Find and delete the xlb file (toolbar file).  With Excel closed, simply
do a search for *.xlb, and when you find the file, delete it.  Restart
Excel.

3.) Make sure your XLSTART directory is empty.

4.)  You can have a look here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q280504

5.)  Help | Detect and Repair

I hope one of those work for you.

Best regards,
Kevin
