This problem is makeing me an old man!  Running Office XP
on a HP p4 256ram 20 gig HDD.  All the updates have been
installed and a full NAV scan was completed without any
problems. When you run Word or Excel and try to save the
document or use the features (bold, underline, save ...)
the system stalls or ignors the command.  The strange
thing is if the system is on the network (cable plugged
in) the programs work fine, but when you unplug the system
to travel, the word and excel fail to work.
I have removed the office package and reloaded, no change.
Thank you for your time!

You perhaps have a corrupt toolbar file. Close Excel, do a search of
your HD for *.xlb, and delete any you find. Then re-start Excel (it
re-creates the toolbar file).
