All of a sudden when I save updates in Excel 2002, it says "<FILE NAME> may
have been changed by another user since you last saved it.  In that case,
what would you like to do?  Save a copy or overwrite changes?

We haven't changed any settings, but every time you overwrite changes, it
erases the previous changes a user has made.  I have tried everything with
shared workbooks and letting certain changes win, but nothing helps.

Help!!

See reply to the same question you posted in another newsgroup.  Please
do not multipost.

You don't know that this is the third time and the third newsgroup to
which you have posted this same question?

Why you should NOT multipost:
  •  Net traffic is reduced: only one copy of your article needs to
flow to the thousands of Usenet servers. And the thousands of people who
read both groups have to download only one copy, not two.
  •  Your time is saved: You can look in one place to see all replies.
  •  Other people's time is saved: If they see that someone else has
made the point they were going to make, they can refrain from posting.
When you multipost, people in on group can't see answers in the other
group, which results in lots of duplication.
  •  Multiposting annoys lots of people. Some will tell you about it;
some will keep silent but put you in their kill files, which means you
lose the benefit of their answers to your questions, forever.

How to search for messages posted in a discussion group by a specific
author:
  •  In the thread pane, select a message that the author has posted.
  •  In the message pane click the author's name.
  •  In the User Profile window for this author, click Recent Posts by
this user.

Could be possible I haven't gotten an answer to my question yet!  If someone
actually gave an answer that actually worked, could it be possible that
people wouldn't multipost?  Microsoft MUST be worthless...
