I was getting the following GPF:

EXCEL caused an invalid page fault in
module EXCEL.EXE at 0187:3006450c.

I convinced myself I needed to install the latest service
pack for Office 2000 Professional (from Gateway OEM) to
solve my problems.  During the installation, it required
the file data1.msi from Disc 1.  I found Disc 2 but Disc 1
is nowhere to be found (moved the office and must have
lost in the process).  I canceled out of the install and
now whenever I try to open Excel, it defaults into the
upgrade process and asks for the Disc 1 and I can't get
around it.

Any suggestions to get me back up and running?
Thanks, Steve

I got Excel back up and running.  The installation just
corrupted my shortcut file on the desktop.  Made a new
shortcut and works fine.

Still would like ideas about my GPF and if installation of
SP1a would help.

Great site, first time i've been here.
