hi all,

i am having a problem with an excel file.  the file seems
to open correctly, except that the table with the data
never appears - the screen looks like a file was never
opened.  using the formula bar, i can tab through the
table as if it is there and see the information in each
cell.  there is just no table anymore.

any help would be much appreciated.

I had the same problem in Excel 2002. When I opened the spreadsheet it
just brought up the grey Excel screen with no table. I could tab and
arrow through the cells but no table showed up on the screen. I didn't
try to rearrange the windows as in the previous solution but this is
what worked for me: I could View-Full Screen and see the table. I hit
the "X" to close the full screen and spreadsheet without saving then
closed Excel. The spreadsheet opened fine after that.
