I am getting an error message every time I open Excel. It says "File not
found". When I click the "Help" button, it tells me again "File not found"
(Error 53) and that the file was not found where specified. After some
unsuccessful "detect and repair" attempts and a few other things, I
uninstalled Office and reinstalled. Unfortunately it didn't solve the
problem. I would appreciate your help.

I fixed it myself... I forgot that the folder "Application Data" can only be
viewed by choosing "show hidden files and folders"; I was finally able to
check the Excel startup folder there. I had a file in it named "72B57500"
????? After I moved this file to my desktop and restarted Excel, it loaded
perfectly. Strange!
