Can't open EXCEL 2002 from Windows Explorer

When I double click on a .xls file I receive messg "Cannot
find the file (file I tried to open) or one of its
components". I can open the file from within EXCEL 2002.
I tried /unregserver and /regserver based upon suggestion
in knowledge db but didn't help.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Try: (in Excel) Tools, Options, General Tab, de-select the option "Ignore
other applications."
