MS Office Forum / Excel / Excel Errors / December 2005Unable to open excel files by double clicking
I am unable to open my excel files by double clicking - I have to open them by opening excel first. I tried to reinstall MS Office 3 times -each time the reinstallation was unsuccesful. Help. In Excel, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the "Ignore other applications" box | OK. If the above doesn't help, then close Excel and re-register Excel in Windows by clicking on Start | Run | Open: excel /unregserver | OK | Open: excel /regserver | OK. > I am unable to open my excel files by double clicking - I have to open them > by opening excel first.
