I have a document that i was working on with a substantial amount of content
in.  Now when I open the file to view/work on it, the document is blank.  It
is a 14k file, so it seems like there is something there, i just can't figure
out how to find it.  Any ideas?

Are you sure the sheet hasn't been hidden or the tab is out of view.
Corrupt workbooks seldom open at all

The only thing that worries me slightly is that 14kb is not a 'substantial
amount of data'

Is it possible the file you have opened is a previous version?
