Hi Witsend2004,

Are you saying the error does not show when Excel is started normally?
Obviously, you have Excel setup to start with Windows. What is the exact
Commandline used in the Startup folder? (Start, All programs, Startup,
rightclick the entry that launches Excel and note what it says in the box
"Target")

When I start Excel normally, it starts up fine. I get this error message
only when I boot up the computer. When I go to Start, Programs, Startup, the
only thing listed is Microsft Office. When I click that, this is what is in
the Target box: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE" -b -l
Hope this helps

It means somewhere in your system Excel is set to be started when the system
boots up. I'm no Windows expert, maybe you should ask in a windows
newsgroup?
