I have a large spreadsheet and I when I tried to Format a new cell I am
getting the error message Too Many Cell Formats and it won't let format any
more cells. Is there a work around for this?

There's a built in limit to the amount of different formats that can be
applied in a spreadsheet.
The workaround would be to split the spreadsheet into two different
workbooks or to use Excel 2007 beta, which has significantly increased the
number of different cell formats that can be handled in a single workbook.
