I don't know if microsoft is aware (probably?) that the Charting function in
Excel right now is borderline unusable.

I typically make my charts as separate sheets and if I try and change just
about any parameter, Excel crashes hard and many times is either

A)  Corrupts the saved file
B)  Looses all the unsaved data and is not able to recover it.

Typical things that will crash the charting functions

-Change chart type
-Change source data
-Change chart labels
-Changle chart parameters

and many more.

It is hard to pin it down to one thing, because doing about anything with a
chart causes a crash.

HTH, it is nice to see MS update the charting function, but there are still
a lot of nasty bugs left it seems

Yes they are...most are fixed as the product is RTM, some lesser ones may
not be, but it should be much more stable when it is available in the New
Year
