That would tell you if a macro or initialization setting is hurting you. See:

If Excel works in Safe Mode, then we can investigate further. If Excel does
not work in Safe then we need to think about re-installing Office

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into it next week. I'm takin' off for a
conference in Kansas tomorrow, so I don't have anymore time this week. I

I have the same problem. I tried to run it in safe mode and the same problem
still happens. This happens to both my computers I run this program on. If I
delete the row I can use that cell for a little while until it crashes again.
