Error pop-up Message: Too many different cell formats

I can't understand why I get this message & how to get around it. (I do have
a lot of formatted cells in the sheet.)

A format is any change in combination of font, size, bold, colour, cell
fill, etc. It's easy to reach that number.

The only real way around is to set up some styles (Format>Styles...) and
apply these.  This way you can be sure you are applying consistent styles
