I also get an Excel window just as you describe about 1 out of every three
times I start Excel. I haven't seen any repeatable causes. Just happens to
open up in a corrupted manner. I simply right click on the Excel icon in the
Vista bar along the bottom of the window and close out of the program. 90% of
the time it is fine on the restart.
This is running on a Dell laptop with Vista Home P.

Same here. I see several folks having this problem, but no solutions. Did
either of you ever find a fix?
