software windows vista home premiun additions x32 office standard 2007

I have an Excel workbook (the "Call Workbook) which opens, updates, and
saves several other workbooks (the "Data Workbooks").  Each of the Data
Workbooks have several web queries.  After any Data Workbook is updated and
closed, when it is reopend, while the Call Workbook is still open, several
named ranges on the Data Workbook are deleted.  The named ranges deleted are
always the first one in the named range list and each named range listed
after any named updating web query.

These workbooks refered to above are all saved in xlsm format.  If I save
all of the Data Workbooks in xls format this problem doesnt occur.
