I'm using Office 2007 on XP for about 3 months now.  I find if I have more
than one book open, which for me is frequent, it isn't unusual to have Excel
freeze up for no apparent reason.  I can usually toggle back and forth from
one book to the other but can't work in either.  I can work in any other
program I have open.  Eventually I have to force quit and hope the majority
of my work has been resued.

Any thoughts, fixes or any help at all?

Thanks
Misty

I'm experiencing the same thing, maybe Microsoft will pay attention if more
of use reply.  I close excel and run System Mechanic's memory defrag and
recover routines, then reopen excel.  Everything works okay for awhile.  I
ran the Office diagnostics and passed all tests.  This is apparently
something they are not testing.

This is also a problem that I am having for the past two weeks.  It seems to
happen when I am copying formulas between two files of Excel that are both
open.  The problem is that all of the files are frozen, I can switch between
them but I can do anything with them.  I have to terminate the program to get
access to them.  I hope that there is something that Microsoft can find to
fix this as the problem is more than a little irritating.
