Error with IF Function – Excel 2007

When I use the Logical Test =IF(K51=SUM(K3,I15,-J51),"OK") the Function
Arguments dialog box automatically assigns it as FALSE, when it should be
TRUE. I can’t change it. It thus gives a FALSE reading in the selected cell,
even though manual calculation reveals the figure to be correct (TRUE).  This
only seems to apply with this particular selection.  When I use other cells
[eg. =IF(F51=SUM(F3,D15,-E51),"OK")] it works correctly and shows TRUE when
that is the case.  Is there some corruption in the program - I just installed
SP1 for Office 2007.

Works fine for me!  Could be that one of yur cells contain text, not numbers?
Maybe check your formatting, re-enter the data, or select a blank cell,
copy, and paste to these cells as special, with the Add option ticked.

Thanks Kassie.  Re-entering the data in different cells still produced the
same problem - a FALSE outcome when in fact it should have been TRUE.  I then
tried replacing the data with different values ($ amounts) and discovered the
problem only manifested when, by chance, the SUM totals happened to produce
an even dollar amount (without cents).  Even changing one of the amounts by
$0.01 saw the problem disappear.  Very strange.
