Like a few others, I am stumped with the "excel.exe has
generated errors and will be closed by windows" message.
The message says that it will generate an "error log" but
I can't find it. Anyone know how to find it?

I get the message when trying to save a file that was
emailed to me from the corporate office (I don't have
server access right now, which is why it was emailed to
me). The file is on the server and now can't be saved
there either - they get the same message. I was able to
save another similar file with no problems (this file is
1.9 mb & the other is 2.62 mb).

Even when I restart my computer, I sometimes get the
message that another copy of the file is open. I have
tried saving it with another name, but I still get the
error message. HELP PLEASE!

Thank you,
Monica

Does this problem only occurred on this file only (or copy of this file)?
Try it on a new file again.

It happened again when I tried to copy each worksheet into a new file I saved under another name. The worksheets have linked cells to each other and Excel used the temporary file, which messed with some calculations. We are going to try and rebuild the file again. Hopefully with better results.
