I run Office Standard 2007 under Windows Vista and am experiencing a very
annoying problem: When I try to select only one cell or one row in my
spreadsheet and Excel selects multiple cells or multiple rows instead. Has
anyone found a solution to fixing this glitch???
Thank you so much for helping,

hi
not too sure it's a glitch. try tapping the F8 key. this is the extend
selection. it's boolean. tap once to turn on. once to turn off.
also see this site for more details and other 07 keyboard short cuts

I am having this same problem and the Extended Selection feature (F8) is not
on.  If anyone knows if there is an option to change in preferences or if
this is a glitch, please let me know.
Thanks
