extract data Column 1 starting with A1, A4, A7, A10, etc.

need step by step instructions to extract data from column A starting with A1
and grab A4, A7, A10, A13, etc.

Arlene,

In B1, type Yes.  In B2 and B3, type No.  Copy B1:B3, and paste it down column B to match your data.
Then either 1) apply a filter to both A and B, select the value "Yes" from the drop down on column
B, select column A, use Edit Go To....  Special Visible cells only, then copy and paste elsewhre or
2) sort A and B based on B, and copy only those values with Yes in Column B.
