Maybe it isn't a DV drop-down.
There are other forms of drop-downs from the Control Toolbox or the Forms
Toolbars.
Could be a list box, combobox or somesuch creature.
F5>Special>Objects>OK

Right click on the box, if you can edit it, you can delete it or cut
it, if not then you mat have an activeX.
Bring up the control toolbar=>select the button with the speed quare on
it, this puts you in design mode, now when you put the mouse cursor
over the box it should turn into a little + , if that happens then you
can right click and delete(or cut)
