Look for values on another sheet.

Good day!
I have an excel file with 2 sheets. On the first sheet I have names on
the left rows.. example is:

|_____code______|____ value____|
xx1g
xfs9
mxp2
rg92

and on the second sheet i will be pasting raw data with the same CODE
and VALUE fields (and some other fields as well), but the fields on the
second sheet will be populated.

Is there a command that will look for an exact match to the CODES Field
on sheet one to the CODES field on sheet 2 and if it matches, it will
populate the cell beside the corresponding CODE Field  (ex. xx1g) on
sheet one with the value of that on sheet 2? I know it's kinda
confusing, as I am reaaaaaly very confused right now. Any help will be
greatly appreciated. TIA! :) An example would definitely help too...

Thanks!

Hi Spanky77,

See Excel help for the VLookup function.
