Even if you're stuck with Microsoft's browser portal, you can search for given user names. Where or how in the browser portal can I do this? Unless I know the specific group within the EXCEL community I never seem to be able to come up with what I'm looking for... A real newsreader might be the best option I guess... If you want to search across multiple newsgroups, then your ONLY option is Google Groups Advanced Search, like it or not. You can restrict the newsgroups to just the Excel newsgroups by matching against *.excel* in the newsgroup field. See this: http://www.rondebruin.nl/Google.htm You can search Google right from Excel.
