Hi,

Is there a way to quickly find just posts by a single user and the
subsequent threads?

Yes. Use a real newsreader.

If that's not an option, use Google Groups Advanced Search.

Even if you're stuck with Microsoft's browser portal, you can search
for given user names.

Where or how in the browser portal can I do this?  Unless I know the specific
group within the EXCEL community I never seem to be able to come up with what
I'm looking for...

A real newsreader might be the best option I guess... I couldn't get diddly
(or more accurately too much diddly) out of the Google groups advanced search

Thanks.

If you want to search across multiple newsgroups, then your ONLY option
is Google Groups Advanced Search, like it or not. You can restrict the
newsgroups to just the Excel newsgroups by matching against

*.excel*

in the newsgroup field.

See this:

You can search Google right from Excel. It couldn't be easier!
