hello,

Does anyone know the formula for random name selection using one
column?

thanks,
Biff - 17 Aug 2006 04:57 GMT
One way:

Assume you have 15 names in the range A1:A15.

=INDEX(A1:A15,INT(RAND()*15)+1)

Will return a different name (although repeats are possible) every time a
calculation is triggered. To make a new selection just press F9.
