I've been trying to sort rows of data in Excel2003 that includes 3 colmns. I
want to sort the rows by the data in the first column. I click on a cell in
the first column and then click sort in ascending order. The bottom row is
moved to the top of the list, but the rest of the rows remain unsorted. I've
tried highlighting the entire list, making the format of the first column all
text, all numbers...nothing changes it. I can successfully sort another
worksheet, but this one just won't sort.

You said you'd highlighted the whole list - did that include all 3 columns?
