How I do protect linked information if the link source is deleted

I've created sevreal workbooks that are linked to one large workbook.  Is
there any way to protect the linked data if the original large workbook is
deleted?

How about closing the large workbook.

As long as you don't try to update the links, the other myriad workbooks
will just keep the latest information that they have.

thats right Allllen....I guess Mr. MORAN can saveAS now the One Large
Workbook in another file as Link-backup.... say if your original filename is
MYNAME.xls....saveAS MYNAME2.xls...as soon as possible....
