Can you length the amount of values visible from a validation list?
How?

No, it's fixed to max 8 visible entries in the drop down box. For the rest
you'll have to scroll.

Hi Corey,

This may help you get to your selection quicker in your drop down list if it
is quite long.

Sort the list and then at the beginning of the A's enter a single A.  Do the
same for all the other letters on down the list, B, C etc. to Z.

Now when you want to select something from the list, type the leading letter
in the
validation cell and DO NOT hit enter, the cell will still be in the edit
mode with the cursor blinking.  Click the drop down arrow and you will be at
the top of
that letters list.  Now scroll down to your choice.

You really can hit enter when you type in the letter but you will have to
reselect the cell which is another step.

(You can probably omit the A on top of the A list, it will appear first
anyway if no letter is typed in.)

HTH
Regards,
Howard
