have recently learnt abount this and its brill. I have a spreadsheet at work
were if the value of a product is below £50 i have to treat it different to
over £50. So i have set up conditional formatting to turn red if its below.
My question is once the cell turns red is their away of getting the whole
line to turn red automatically so if i am looking at cell 1a or 1 zz I know
the product is under £50

we use excel 2000 (i think)

Thanks

If your value is in column C, select the whole row and use Conditional
Formatting:  Formula is:  =$C1<50
