Hello All I look to see if I could find something on this but didn't get
quite what I needed.  I have a user who wants to add some columns up but
there are only alpha characters in the columns

for example
A1: Los Angeles
A2: Miami
A3: Seattle

Total: 3

now in A4 all she wants to do is add up the number of columns above.  So the
total should be 3.

I know how to do it with numbers but not with alpha characters
