I used the drawing texbox.
It refers to another cell on another sheet via the formula bar = 'sheet
1'!D$17, which is conditional formatted to be red if < another cell value,
and green if => that same cell value.
Hi Steve,
Sorry to take so long but it was a very busy week.
Replace the drawing text box with a Camera tool picture of the cell.
To add the Camera tool to the toolbar choose View, Toolbars, Customize,
Commands tab, Tools catergory and near the bottom of the list on the right
side.
Select the cell you want to put into the textbox and click the Camera tool,
move the the sheet you want the textbox on and click a cell. Then move it
around as necessary.

No need to apologize.
Perfect solution. I never even knew about the camera.
Thanks again,
Steve

One more question just came up.
I'm working on a chart, and if any part of the chart is selected, the camera
box if hidden/unseen. If I unselect the chart, it becomes visible. Is there
any way it stays visible ?
Thanks,

Hi Steve,
No. However, if the chart is going to stay in the same location, you can
capture it with the Camera tool. First I fit the chart to an exact block of
cells you dragging and sizing it with the Alt held down. Then I select the
cells behind the chart. Then use the camera tool. There will be a second
border around the chart picture but you can single click it and choose
Format, Picture and on the Color and Lines tab and under Line, open the Color
drop down and choose No line.
However if you move or size the original picture you will have interesting
problems.

Shane,
Thanks a lot for all your patience and help. It's much appreciated. I think
i'll just remember to click properly around the chart to keep it visible.
Thanks again,
Steve
