In an existing workbook I have a blank preformated and preformulized
worksheet. When I copy this worksheet into a new workbook all of the column
formatting and formulas are deleted. Can this be fixed in this version of
Excel? Your help is very much appreciated!

Sounds like you are copying between two workbooks each of which is open in its
own instance of Excel.

Close down one instance of Excel and open both workbooks in one instance.

You will have better results with the copying.
