cell size

If I've got a cell  where text is to be entered but I don't know how
much, can I set the cell's height (or width) to increase according to
the amount of text typed into it?

It depends how you want it. Either wider column or wider row, or both

Format cells > select Wrap text > OK out

Thanks, but that just makes the text smaller, not the cell bigger  :(
