Subscript and Superscript: What no quick access toolbar command?

I put a lot of math formulas into PowerPoint from Excel because Excel
has better layout features (using the cells). Problem is both Word and
PP have quick access toolbar commands for sub- and superscript, but
Excel doesn't.

What gives?  Any work around for this besides the keyboard shortcuts?

What gives is a completely different display rendering engine and U/I
than Word or PPt.

Take a look at
