Is there a way to create a query which can then be run by another user on a
different pc?

Yes, but if you're talking about interrogating a mainframe database, the
other site must have access and rights to the data.....MIS usually don't
share those things unless requested.

eIt's fairly involved, but you might try turning on the Macro Recorder and
going through the Data > GetExternalData...process to actually get the data
and then turn off the macro recorder.........then each time you run the macro
it should get that same data.........the macro may have to be tweaked at the
other location........if you are not in to VBA, this is probably not a good
place to start, but a local GURU should be able to do it for you............
