Where would be the best place to start looking at different formulas used in
excel.
I have a series of arguments etc that I need to work out but currently only
have basic knowledge. Is there a site someone could please put me onto? I
have been chucked in the deep end with a staff member leaving who has
designed an excel program that formulates quotes for our business. Any
ideas?
Thanks
Kassie

Try Chip Pearson's site, but if you have a need for a book try any of the
Excel Formula series by John Walkenbach.
Posting specifics in here will normally get an answer too

Hi Kassie!
You could look at:
Peter Noneley
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/noneley/
Also if you apply direct to me you can have my Functions List file
that covers, Source, Classification, Description, Syntax and details
of the arguments required.
And for a text covering Excel Formulas use John Walkenbach's Excel
2003 Formulas.
But perhaps the best additional resource would be to do a Google
search on particular functions or problems using Ron de Bruin's Google
Search tool that you can operate from within Excel.

In addition to Norman's and Nick's suggestions, You will
almost always find help in these newsgroups. If the
problem has a solution, someone here will have the answer.
These groups are probably the best Excel resource on the
net. Just ask Steved :)

Just post your thoughts with whatever detail you have and let us see what we can
do to help out :-) The more lucid the question though, the easier it is to
answer
