Hi all,

I'm using Excel 97, part of Office Pro Suite, and am trying to print
the gridlines in a large document.. I gone to page setup, clicked on
"Sheet" and ticked the gridline box, but it does not show in preview,
nor does it print the gridlines.. Am I forgetting to do something?

thanks,
gary

If you've changed the fill color (even to white), then you won't see those
gridlines on your paper.

You could use apply borders instead (under Format|Cells|border tab)

If you applied a white fill color in error, just change it to "no fill".

no luck, tried putting the fill to "no fill", tried adding borders,
nada!  still doesn't show either in preview or on the page when
printed.

the grid lines show on the screen in Excel, but not in the Print
Preview.  This is a file that was sent to me, so I'm now sure how
things were setup in it and I'm not that familiar with this program.

Anything else I can check?

thanks,
gary

In File>Page Setup, on the Sheet tab, remove the check mark from 'Draft
quality', if there is one.

Possibly you have "Draft Quality" checked in Sheet Print options.

Uncheck it.
