MS Office Forum / Excel / New Users / September 2004Clicking .XLS files opens Excel, but not the file
My mother in law has a new pc running xp home & Excel 2003 (11.5612.5606). When she double clicks a .XLS file in WE, it opens the program, but not the file. When in the program if she selects file/open then the same file, it opens fine. This is the case for all her .XLS files. Any idea how to enable the double click option?
