Hi!
You were right about the cutting/pasting and having hidden
junk embeded in the cells. The values in col D are *text*
and are not numeric numbers. Also, those asterisks in some
of the cells don't help matters! :D
Here's a quick solution. In col M change the formula to:
=G3-MID(D3,2,5)
and just copy down.
