MS Office Forum / Excel / New Users / September 2004Importing into Excel from Notepad
I have datafiles in text format (Notepad) that have one field per row and a pipe delimeter (|) after each record. I want to import this data into Excel but it doesn't recognize a carriage return as a delimiter. How can I import this data into Excel so each line is a different field and a new record is begun after the pipe delimeter?
