When I go to save my wb in xl 2003, the prompt is always asking me to choose
a) save a copy or B) overwrite the original document. I wish that there was a
way to get my workbooks to default as overwrite the original file.

Thanks for wiriting back!

Are these older workbooks from an earlier version of Excel?

In some instances, you are asked if you want to save in the new version.

That is the default.

Save always overwrites the original.
