=B1-A1+(B1<A1)
og if you insist on formatting the result as requested
=(B1-A1+(B1<A1))*24&"HR'S"

=IF(B1>A1, B1-(A1-"00:00:01"), A1-(B1-"00:00:01")

I use this. Always keeps the time positive. i.e. 4am -> 1am woul
be 3 hours

The addition of seconds is becuase sometime Excel thought 11am minu
11am would be a negative number
