When using the "if" function on the function wizard, I'm having problem
with penny rounding. I have three columns. Column 1 is a net figure, an
column 2 is sales tax, at 17.5% and these two cannot be changed. In m
third column I have put in a sum to check that column 2 is 17.5% o
column 1. Because of penny roundings it is not always exactly 17.5%.
I want to take column 4 and put in a function that will tell me i
column 3 is not 17.5%. The IF function does this, but 1p rounding
gets loads of "Error" messages. How can I ask it only to show ERROR i
Column 3 is not between say 17 and 18%

Is column 2 a calculated column? Ie is there "17.5" somewhere in the formula
in each cell? If so then column 4 is superfluous as the only way column 3
will NOT be 17.5% is if you physically change the formula! And don't worry
about being 1p out - the VAT man won't mind - really!
